In the Numenera Kickstarter, I had a backer level called On-line Gamer. The people backing at that level get to, among other things, request a specific article written by me, here. Backer Sean Bradley is an aspiring author who's written a book, and is working on the two-follow up books, and would like to go about getting it published. He asked me to write about the topic.

We are happy to announce that Numenera will have a nice presence at this year's GenCon, August 15-18.
When I created my Kickstarter for Numenera, one of the backer levels was called On-Line Gamer. Among the rewards was that I would write a blog post on the topic of the backer's choosing. Backer J Aaron Farr asked me to write about the use of technology in traditional rpg play. Specifically, he thinks that many rpg companies are a bit behind the times embracing technology.
I think adventures are important for many reasons.
