Urban Campaigns
A Sneak Peek from Chapter 32 of Ptolus
0I talk in the latest Design
Diary about Part VII of Ptolus,
the final section of the book. It's one of my favorite sections, actually, because
it discusses in part the unique challenges of running urban campaignssomething
I've enjoyed doing for years. To go along with that article, we're offering
you a preview from Part VIIspecifically, from Chapter 32: Urban Campaigns.
This three-page preview
goes into some detail about urban adventures: creating story arcs for them and
lots more. The rest of the chapter discusses how to plan and run a campaign
in the Ptolus setting and lays out some differences between urban campaigns
and other types.
The art in this sneak peek
is by Jason Engle, Eric Lofgren, and The Forge Studios.
